The essence of Shiatsu:
The essence of #shiatsu in this delicate story..
In the heart of an ancient Japanese village, surrounded by majestic mountains and lush Zen gardens, lived a Shiatsu master named Hiroshi. Hiroshi was known throughout the town for his extraordinary skill in the practice of this ancient healing art. He had hair as gray as silver and eyes that reflected the wisdom of the centuries.
His house, a small traditional dojo, was adorned with ancient scrolls and aromatic incense.
Students from all corners of the country came to him in search of healing and wisdom. He was known for his gentle but powerful touch, which seemed to release his patients’ physical and spiritual tensions.
One day, a young girl named Sakura appeared at the door of Hiroshi’s dojo. He suffered physical pain and had heard about the teacher’s fame. Hiroshi greeted her with a warm smile and made her sit on a tatami. He began to practice his Shiatsu with unmatched mastery, sliding his hands like light leaves over the surface of the water.
As Hiroshi worked on Sakura’s body, he felt that the young woman was carrying a burden much deeper than simple physical tensions.
His sensitive hands uncovered the emotional scars that plagued Sakura’s heart. With patience and compassion, he began to share stories of wisdom and proverbs he had learned over the years.
As the days passed, Sakura returned to the dojo several times. Not only were his physical pains improving, but his spirit was also awakening. Hiroshi taught Sakura the importance of finding balance between mind, body and soul through the practice of Shiatsu. The young woman learned to take care of herself, to be present in the present moment and to find inner peace.
As time passed, Sakura became a Shiatsu practitioner and opened her own dojo at the other end of the village.
Master Hiroshi had transmitted his knowledge not only through his skillful hands, but also through his gentle spirit and wisdom. The town prospered thanks to the master’s care and philosophy, which continued to spread throughout the world.
Hiroshi taught everyone that the true power of Shiatsu was not only in physical healing, but also in opening the heart and connecting with the deepest essence of humanity. And so, the story of Shiatsu master Hiroshi became legend in the village and beyond, inspiring generations to find beauty in caring for themselves and others.

The synergy in the use of points in Chinese Medicine:
Chinese Medicine is a holistic medicine, in the sense that it refers to physiology in a “global” sense, the systems are connected to each other and the microcosm/individual is in constant relationship with the macrocosm/environment.
At the beginning of my studies I was very focused on the function of points, useful in acupuncture, tuina and also in Qi Gong.
In fact, each point has a specific location, multiple functions on pathogenic substances or factors, but how to separate ourselves from the numerous functions of a single point or how to choose one point instead of another that has an identical indication?
The answer lies in the study of synergy: complex functions are governed by the combination of different points, synergistic in obtaining a specific energy movement.
Therefore, I can use a combination of points that acts on Xue/blood to obtain an effect on this substance, or a combination that acts on fluids or Qi.
The second aspect refers to the directionality of the energy, that is, the sequence with which I decide to stimulate the points determines their movement in the different parts of the body.
In fact, if you stimulate the surface by moving the energy downward or upward, towards the center or towards the periphery, at the front or back of the body, this INTENTION interacts with the intrinsic quality of the point.
In fact, there are numerous points that intrinsically direct energy in one direction, such as HEGU (large intestine meridian point #4) which directs Qi toward the head or JIANJING (gallbladder meridian point #21) which directs the low energy, but the result will depend on the intention during the treatment and the synergistic combination.
Therefore, after having established the principles of the treatment, that is, the therapeutic effect that I want to obtain, I must study HOW to achieve my goal through the order of stimulation and the intrinsic functions of the individual points to obtain synergy through their suitable combination.
For this reason, knowing the functions of a single point is only the beginning of a long path and the prescription of a single point (for example in self-treatment), unless it is an “empirical” point, will never lead to success, the desired effect.
