Relationships between muscle chains, myofascial system and tendon meridians.

Medial anterior muscle chain:

Predominance of posterior static kyphosis, difficulty creating lumbar lordosis and extending the hip; can create delays in the acquisition of gait and interaction with the outside world (stomach meridian).

Medial chain:

Posterior hyperlordosis, accelerated, anxious gait, hypertonia of the paravetebral muscles and the posterior surface of the thighs and legs (urinary bladder meridian).

Anterolateral chain: Contraction of the internal rotation muscles, trunk and extremities (stomach and large intestine meridians)

Posterolateral chain:

External rotation of the trunk and extremities can cause dislocation problems of the long biceps, due to hypermobility of the shoulder in a kyphotic back (urinary bladder and small intestine meridians). Posteroanterior and posterior chains: They are well balanced in kyphosis or lordosis, but there is difficulty in rotating the trunk, spine and extremities.

(urinary bladder, small intestine and gallbladder meridians).

The body form (xing) symbolically represents in the body the inevitable consequence of our life, of our joys, of victories and defeats, of tragedies throughout our existence (through both static and dynamic postures). Verbal memories are thus inscribed, which are a privileged object of the study of Tuina, Kinesiology applied to Chinese medicine, Osteopathy, Shiatsu. The tendon-muscular meridians (or muscle meridians, jin jing), constitute a structure, a true physical and energetic envelope that underlies our mental state, the set of emotions expressed or contained, managed through precise subtle structures, with repercussions on the blood (xue) and in weiqi, as a postural and emotional reaction of instinctive movement to any stimulus. This conditions the shape of the body and its movement incessantly, favoring or inhibiting the action of certain muscles and muscle chains. Let us think about the relationship experience-posture-myofascial pathology of the schools of Metzier, Souchard, Lowen, etc., which, arriving later in time, return confirmation of the routes of the different meridians, their unions and the different points. In addition, different “emotional temperatures” are identified, such as anger that heats or fear that freezes, indecision and “wet” rumination that weigh, attraction that opens, desire with different centrifugal and centripetal actions, resentment which damages the back, and blames the chest and breathing, not being able to move freely. This highlights the tensions of movement in the body, with a predominance of emotions, temperatures, thoughts, energy management, making visible a gain of energy or a depletion of vital essence.

The operator’s eye is not limited to seeing shapes, lines and geometries, but translates them into expressions of blood, internal movements, temperatures, which in the living and non-sculptural human masterpiece find confirmation in the expressed word, in the concepts and in personal belief systems, in language choice, in tone of voice, in breathing, in familiarity, in the environment experienced and much more.
